plc announce that AGEON UK Group of Companies (comprising AGEON Asset
Management UK Limited, AGEON Investment Management UK Limited and
AGEON ICVC) has advised the company of a reduction in its voting
rights in Mothercare plc.

The notifiable interest of direct and indirect holdings now comprises
5,014,971 ordinary shares all with voting rights (or 5.74%) being a
direct holding of 4,991,761 (5.71%) and an indirect holding of 23,210
(0.03%) of the voting rights (previously a total of 5,269,057 or
6.03%)
