                  MIDAS INCOME AND GROWTH INVESTMENT TRUST PLC


On 12 December 2007, Midas Income and Growth Investment Trust plc bought back
50,000 ordinary shares for cancellation at a price of 149.25 pence per share.
Following the buy back, there are 45,574,950 ordinary shares in issue.  The
share buy-back will be financed out of the capital reserve.
