                  MIDAS INCOME AND GROWTH INVESTMENT TRUST PLC

On 3 December 2007, Midas Income and Growth Investment Trust plc bought back
100,000 ordinary shares for cancellation at a price of 146.5 pence per share.
Following the buy back, there are 45,624,950 ordinary shares in issue.  The
share buy-back will be financed out of the capital reserve.
