                  MIDAS INCOME AND GROWTH INVESTMENT TRUST PLC

On 27 February 2008 Midas Income and Growth Investment Trust PLC bought back
500,000 ordinary shares for cancellation at a price of 140.25 pence per share.
Following the buy back, there are 43,854,950 ordinary shares in issue. The share
buy-back will be financed out of the capital reserve.
