Elderstreet VCT plc announces that on 14 December 2006 the Company purchased a
total of 240,000 Ordinary shares of 5p each for cancellation  representing 1.44%
of the total issued share capital at a price of 63.5p per share.

Following these transactions the Company now has 14,981,819 Ordinary shares and
1,542,202 C shares in issue.
