Elderstreet VCT plc announces that on 13 May 2005 the Company purchased a total
of 17,500 ordinary shares of 5p each for cancellation  representing 0.12% of the
issued share capital at a price of 50p per share.

Following these transactions the Company now has 14,390,855 ordinary shares in
issue.
