MITIE GROUP PLC

MITIE Group announces that, for health reasons, David Telling has decided to
relinquish some of his responsibilities. Ian Stewart, Managing Director of the
Support Services Division will now assume the appointment of Chief Executive,
with David Telling remaining Executive Chairman.


MITIE Group is pleased to announce the appointment of four new Executive
Directors to the Board. Colin Acheson, Managing Director of Engineering
Services, Roger Goodman, Managing Director of Cleaning, Colin Hale, Managing
Director of Managed Services and Bill Robson, Managing Director of Property
Services will join the main Board with effect from 2nd August 2001. John
Clifford will not seek re-election at the Annual General Meeting in September
2001.


None of the appointees are Directors of any other publicly quoted company and
there are no details required to be disclosed under paragraph 6.F.2 (b) to (g)
of the FSA Listing Rules.
