                            INCREASE IN SHARE PRICE

The Board of Metals Exploration PLC (the 'Company') notes the rise in the
Company's share price over recent days including today. Drilling operations have
commenced on its Runruno project in line with the Company's previous
announcement on 29 September 2005. The Company will announce results from its
drilling operations at the appropriate time in the future to its Regulatory
Information Service.
