                     METALS EXPLORATION PLC (the 'Company')
                                ISSUE OF SHARES

The Board of Metals Exploration Plc (the 'Board') announces that pursuant to the
option agreement over the Runruno Project, announced on 2 February 2005, the
Company has issued 200,000 new Ordinary Shares of 1p each, (the 'Shares') to
Filmerina Resources Corporation and 200,000 Shares to Christian Mining, Inc

Application will be made to the London Stock Exchange for the 400,000 Shares in
the Company to be admitted to trading  on AIM. It is expected that Admission
will become effective and that trading in the Shares on AIM will commence on 19 
August 2005
