        New contract wins for Care Division and Social Housing Division

Mears Group is pleased to announce further new contract wins by its care
division, Careforce and by its social housing division.


Care Division

Careforce has been successful in securing 3 new contracts, 2 of which are in
locations in which they are not currently operating. This demonstrates the
growing strength and recognition of the Careforce brand which has been built on
the principles of providing high quality services and partnership working. All 3
contracts commence in April 2008 and run for 3 years with possible 2 year
extensions.

The contracts are for Homecare in Trafford and North Tyneside and for Extra Care
Sheltered Housing in Nottinghamshire. The 3 contracts combined have annual
revenues of approximately £1.5 million.


Social Housing Division

Mears Group has been successful in winning a £10 million, 5 year contract with
Mole Valley Housing Association. The work is for planned maintenance and voids
and can be extended for a further 5 years.  Mole Valley Housing Association,
based in Surrey, was created in 2007 following a transfer from Mole Valley
District Council and has over 3,800 homes. It is part of the Circle Anglia Group
which has over 27,000 properties and is one of the largest housing associations
in the UK.


Mears Group Chief Executive, Bob Holt, commented:

consolidation of the domiciliary care market.'
