Transaction in Own Shares

PMI, the FTSE 250 digital imaging company which today issued its Interim
Announcement, announces that it has today purchased 1,000,000 ordinary shares at
an average price of 87.625 pence per share. The purchased shares will all be
held as treasury shares. Following the above purchase, PMI holds 1,000,000
ordinary shares as treasury shares. The total number of ordinary shares in issue
(excluding shares held as treasury shares) is 363,485,120.
