Aberdeen Growth Opportunities VCT PLC Agrees Co-investment Partnership

Aberdeen  Growth Opportunities VCT PLC ("AGO") is a Venture Capital  Trust  that
invests in private equity and AIM opportunities in a wide range of sectors.

AGO is pleased to announce a new funding partnership agreement with the
Scottish Co-Investment Fund ("SCF") of Scottish Enterprise.

AGO  has  joined  forces with the economic development agency's SCF,  which  has
£45million  available  to  provide  equity  investment  for  deal  sizes   below
£2.0million  in  growth funding for Scottish companies. This  partnership  means
that AGO will have access to equally matched funding when making investments  of
up to £500,000 in Scotland. AGO will also receive a deal fee for each investment
completed.   This  relationship provides AGO with additional  firepower  in  the
smaller deal sizes, where it is difficult for prospective investee companies  to
find  funding.   Together, AGO and SCF will aim to close the  funding  gap  that
exists in the marketplace for the sub £2million fundraisings.


AGO,  alongside  which the SCF will co-invest, raised £10million  in  2002  and,
since then has invested £2.06million in 18 companies, of which £0.425million has
been   invested   in   2004  to  date.  The  portfolio  continues   to   perform
satisfactorily,  with notable ahead of budget trading in a  number  of  investee
companies.

AGO  has  a  number  of prospective investments in progress, and  anticipates  a
continued buoyant level of investment activity for the remainder of 2004.
