On 5 July 2017, Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc bought back 2,386 ordinary shares at a price of 234p per share to be HELD AS TREASURY. 

Following this purchase Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc holds 9,135,661 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 94,447,541 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
