On 12 April 2017, Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc bought back 142,500 ordinary shares at a price of 231.10p per share to be HELD AS TREASURY. 

Following this purchase Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc holds 8,071,095 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 95,512,107 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
