On 25 October 2016, Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc bought back 10,071 ordinary shares at a price of 220.98p per share to be HELD AS TREASURY. 

Following this purchase Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc holds 6,623,980 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 96,959,222 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
