On 22 February 2016, Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc bought back 1,000 ordinary shares at a price of 173.4p per share to be HELD AS TREASURY. 

Following this purchase Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc holds 2,874,723 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 100,708,479 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
