On 19 January 2016, Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc bought back 43,000 ordinary shares at a price of 170.38p per share to be HELD AS TREASURY. 

Following this purchase Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc holds 3,751,025 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 99,832,177 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
