Transaction in own shares - 9 January 2015

On 9 January 2015, Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc bought back 13,000 ordinary shares at a price of 178p per share to be HELD AS TREASURY. 

Following this purchase Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc holds 1,169,548 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 103,323,623 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
