Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc, on 21 August 2013, bought back 30,000 ordinary shares at a price of 156.75p per share to be HELD AS TREASURY. 

Following this purchase Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc holds 1,156,623 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 103,336,548 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
