At a meeting this morning the Board of Legal & General Group Plc appointed Rob
Margetts, Vice-Chairman, as Acting Chairman. This appointment follows the
death earlier this week of Sir Christopher Harding. The Nominations Committee
of the Board is now progressing with the identification of a successor to Sir
Christopher as Chairman.
