Transparency Rules, Legal & General Group Plc ('the Group') has been advised
today that, as at 26 April 2007, AXA S.A. and its group companies had a
notifiable interest in 227,049,453 ordinary shares of 2.5p, with voting rights,
of the Group, which represented 3.48% of the voting rights.
