Legal & General Group Plc ('the Group') has been advised today by Scottish
Widows Investment Partnership Limited (a subsidiary of Lloyds TSB Group plc)
that, as at 10 March 2004, Lloyds TSB Group plc had a notifiable interest in
195,548,852 ordinary shares of 2.5p of the Group, which represented 3.006% of
the issued share capital.
