Transaction in Own Shares

Leeds Group PLC 28 September 2007 Leeds Group plc (the 'Company') Buy back of Own Shares Leeds Group announces that on 28 September 2007 it purchased 150,000 of its own Ordinary Shares to be held in treasury. The shares were purchased at 21.5p each. Leeds Group also announces that it is canceling 538,603 of its Ordinary Shares held in treasury, in order to bring its holding in treasury below 10% of the issued share capital. As a result of the above purchase and cancellation, the total number of Ordinary Shares now held in treasury is 3,467,015 and the number of remaining Ordinary Shares in issue is 31,432,985. Total Voting Rights For the purposes of the Disclosure and Transparency Rules, the Company's total issued share capital at the date of this notice is 34,900,000 The Company's issued share capital consists of 34,900,000 ordinary shares of 12p each, with one voting right per share. There are 3,467,015 shares held in treasury, representing 9.93% of the total issued share capital. The total number of voting rights in the Company is therefore 31,432,985. The above figure of 31,432,985 may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, the Company, under the Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
