Land Securities Group PLC - Transactions in Own Shares


Land Securities Group PLC (the 'Company') announces that on 19 September 2007 it
purchased 250,000 ordinary shares at an average price of 1682.1607 pence per
share. The highest price paid was 1691 pence per share and the lowest price paid
was 1674 pence per share.

The purchased shares will be held as treasury shares. Following the above
purchase, Land Securities Group PLC holds 5,146,000 ordinary shares in treasury,
and has 465,360,096 ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares).
