Application has been made to the Financial Services Authority and the London
Stock Exchange plc for 9,695 Ordinary shares of £1 each ('shares') to be
admitted to the Official List.

It is expected admission will be granted on 18 February 2002 and trading will
commence on 19 February 2002.

These shares are being issued as a result of the exercise of share options under
the Savings Related Share Option Scheme (4,695 Shares) and Executive Share
Option Scheme (5,000).

These shares now rank pari passu with the existing issued ordinary shares.
