RAP GROUP PLC 30 July 1999 RAP Group plc ------------- At today's annual general meeting of RAP Group plc, nine of the ten resolutions were passed. The tenth resolution, which was proposed as a special resolution and which was intended to bring the retirement of directors into line with current best practice, whereby all directors (including the chief executive) should retire and stand for re-election at least once in every three year period, was not passed by the requisite 75% majority. Accordingly, the directors will continue to retire and stand for re-election, if appropriate, as to one-third in number each year by rotation and the chief executive will not be required to stand for re-election at any time.
