JPMORGAN MID CAP INVESTMENT TRUST PLC

CHANGE IN INVESTMENT MANAGER

27th May 2009

The Board of JPMorgan Mid Cap Investment Trust plc ('the Company') announces that, following discussions with its Manager, JPMorgan Asset Management (UK) Limited, William Meadon and Jane Lennard have assumed joint responsibility for the management of the Company's portfolio with immediate effect. William will be Investment Director and Jane the day to day Fund Manager.

William is a Managing Director and Head of UK Specialist Equities and was previously portfolio manager of the Company from 1996 to 2001. Jane, a mid and small cap UK equity specialist, is joint Fund Manager of The Mercantile Investment Trust plc and will continue in that role.
