REPURCHASE OF ORDINARY SHARES INTO TREASURY

On Wednesday 25^th April 2012, JPMorgan Japan Smaller Companies Trust plc purchased into Treasury 15,000 ordinary shares at 141.00 pence per share.

Following the transaction the remaining shares in issue total 39,489,818 including 50,000 shares held in treasury.
