JPMorgan Fleming Japanese Smaller Companies Investment Trust plc announces that today, Tuesday 5th May 2009, it issued 2,828 ordinary shares following a conversion of subscription shares into ordinaries.  

The shares in issue following this notification total 39,312,251 ordinary shares, including 396,000 held in Treasury, and 7,796,045 subscription shares.
