New Director

The Board of JPMorgan Indian Investment Trust plc is pleased to announce the
appointment of Mr Peter Sullivan as a Non Executive Director with effect from
1st October 2007.

Peter Sullivan is currently Chief Executive Officer for Standard Chartered Bank
(Hong Kong) Limited, responsible for the Bank's daily business and operations.
He joined Standard Chartered in 1994, having previously spent fourteen years
with Citibank where he was Regional Director of Cash Management Services for
Citibank Europe, Middle East and Africa.
