ISSUE OF SHARES

JPMorgan Global Emerging Markets Income Trust plc announces that on 12 May 2014    it issued 150,000 new Ordinary shares for cash at 116.30 pence per share under its Ordinary share block listing facility. 

Following this issue, the Company's issued share capital consists of 265,889,438 Ordinary shares.
