New Director



The Board of JPMorgan Fleming Emerging Markets Investment Trust plc are pleased
to announce the appointment of Mr Anatole Kaletsky with effect from 5th
September 2003.



Anatole Kaletsky has gained extensive business experience from his roles as a
journalist and economic consultant.  He is Principal Economic Commentator of The
Times of London and is also co-chairman of GaveKal Research, a Hong Kong-based
consultancy which provides economic, political, investment strategy and asset
allocation analysis to financial institutions and companies around the world.
