The Board of JPMorgan Emerging Markets Investment Trust plc (the "Company") is pleased to announce the appointment of Alison Jefferis as a Non-Executive Director of the Company with effect from 1st January 2024.

Ms Jefferis has direct and relevant experience within the investment sector, particularly in the fields of marketing, communication and investor relations, including digital engagement covering traditional and alternative asset classes, listed and non-listed structures and retail, intermediary and institutional investors.

Ms Jefferis most recently held the role of Head of Corporate Affairs at Columbia Threadneedle Investments, a global asset manager, from 2015 to 2022. During her twelve-year career at Columbia Threadneedle (and its predecessor Threadneedle Investments), she was responsible for management of the company's reputation and all its corporate affairs activities in EMEA and APAC and was instrumental in the development of its digital presence and capabilities, including via the website, social media, online advertising and content partnerships.  She has also held various roles at Macquarie Group including head of Corporate Communications, EMEA and Head of Brand and Corporate Marketing.

Ms Jefferis holds a BA in Communication from the University of Technology, Sydney and has a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment, Financial Services Institute of Australasia.

Ms Jefferis is currently a Trustee of Clean Break Theatre Company and a member of the Development Committee at The National Gallery.

Ms Jefferis does not own any shares in the Company.

No further information is to be disclosed in respect of paragraphs 9.6.13(1) - (6) of the Listing Rules for Ms Jefferis.
