Transaction in Own Shares

ITV PLC announces that it has today purchased for cancellation through Citigroup
Global Markets U.K. Equity Limited 3,000,000 ordinary shares at an average price
of 105.4 pence per share. The highest price and the lowest price paid for these
shares were 106.25 pence and 105.25 pence respectively.

Upon the cancellation of these shares, the number of shares in issue will be
3,984,679,751.
