                             NEW BOARD APPOINTMENT





The Board of Intermediate Capital Group PLC ('ICG'), Europe's leading
independent provider of mezzanine finance, confirms the appointment of Philip
Keller as an executive member of the Board and Finance Director.


Philip joined ICG in September from ERM Holdings Ltd, one of the largest
environmental consultancies in the world employing 3,000 people globally.
