Impax Environmental Markets plc announces that on 16 November 2011 it purchased 10,208,770 of its own ordinary shares in the market at an average price of 98.49p per share. The highest price paid per share was 98.75p and the lowest price paid per share was 93.40p.   These shares will be held in Treasury.

Following this share re-purchase, the Company's issued share capital will be 324,509,373 ordinary shares.  The Company will be holding 28,556,435 of these shares in Treasury.  Therefore, the total number of ordinary shares with voting rights in the Company will be 295,952,938.
