Appointment of Chairman Designate

ITE Group plc ('ITE') announces the appointment of Marco Sodi to the Board of Directors as a Non-executive Director and Chairman Designate with effect from 1 February 2012.

Mr Sodi was a Non-executive Director of ITE from 2003 to 2006 and has extensive experience of the media sector, and the exhibitions sector in particular. He left Veronis Suhler Stevenson in March 2010 after 23 successful years as both a General Partner and Investment Committee member and is currently a Non-executive Director on the Boards of CSC Media Group, Granada Learning, and Data Centrum Communications. Previously he has served on the Boards of Hemscott plc, Centaur Communications plc, Pepcom GmbH, Berliner Verlag and Clarion plc.

Mr Sodi was appointed following a comprehensive search process. Michael Hartley the Senior Independent Director led the process, supported by other members of the Nomination Committee and with assistance from executive search consultants.

Iain Paterson, Chairman of ITE, commented:

"I am delighted Marco will be joining the Board as Chairman Designate.  He brings with him a strong background and wealth of knowledge in the media sector. This together with his previous experience of ITE will be very valuable as the Company moves to the next stage of its development."

There are no further matters for disclosure under Listing Rule 9.6.13 for Mr Sodi.

A further announcement will be released in due course confirming the timing of the handover of the chairmanship from Iain Paterson to Marco Sodi and changes to Committee composition.
