MFI Furniture Group PLC (the 'Company')

The Company has been informed today that Mrs. Dorothy Ann Hancock, spouse of
John Hancock, has purchased 55,360 Ordinary Shares of 10p each in the Company
at 62.75p per share on 5th June, 2000.  Following this purchase, Mrs. Hancock
now holds a total of 245,224 Ordinary Shares in the Company.
