                              HOLDING IN COMPANY

The Company was informed today that, following the purchase on 16 November
2001 of 25,000 ordinary shares of 5p each in the capital of the Company
('Ordinary Shares') representing 0.34 per cent. of Hornby's issued share
capital, Jeremy Hosking holds 427,840 Ordinary Shares, representing 5.90 per
cent. of the Company's issued share capital.

In addition Jeremy Hosking has an interest, in his capacity as trustee of
Morgan Nominees Limited, in 240,000 Ordinary Shares, representing 3.31 per
cent. of the Company's issued share capital.
