                              HOLDING IN COMPANY


The Company has today been informed that following the purchase of 100,000
ordinary shares of 5p each in the capital of the Company ('Ordinary Shares')
representing 1.19 per cent. of Hornby's issued share capital that Jeremy
Hosking holds 302,840 Ordinary Shares, representing 3.62 per cent. of the
Company's issued share capital.

In addition Jeremy Hosking has an interest, in his capacity as trustee of RBC
Trustees Limited, in 240,000 Ordinary Shares, representing 2.87 per cent. of
the Company's issued share capital.
