Notification of Transactions of Directors/Persons Discharging Managerial
Responsibility and Connected Persons

This notification is made in accordance with DR 3.1.4R(1)(a) of the Disclosure
Rules.

On 25 January 2006, John Stansfield, Finance Director of Hornby Plc (the '
Company') exercised options over 50,000 ordinary shares of 1p each ('Ordinary
Shares'), representing 0.13% of the issued ordinary share capital, at a price of
32.7p per share.  These options were due to expire on 27 January 2006.

Following the exercise, Mr Stansfield holds 115,000 Ordinary Shares,
representing 0.31% of the issued ordinary share capital, and options over
250,000 Ordinary Shares with an average exercise price of 83.4p per share.
