                       FINANCE DIRECTOR TO JOIN TRAVELEX

Hays plc today announces that John Martin, the Group Finance Director, has
resigned his position to become the Chief Financial Officer of Travelex. John
will remain with Hays until March 2006. The process to appoint his successor,
which will include internal and external candidates, will commence shortly.

Bob Lawson, Chairman, commented:

'Since joining Hays five years ago John has worked tirelessly on the
transformation and refocusing of Hays. During that time he has done a great job
for Hays and has been an important member of the senior management team. We wish
him every success in the further development of his career.'
