APPOINTMENT OF DIRECTOR - HOLIDAYBREAK PLC

On 1 January 2001, Mr. Simon John Tobin's appointment as a director of
Holidaybreak plc and Mr. Travers Vincent Cox's resignation as a director of
Holidaybreak plc both became effective.  The appointment and resignation with
effect from 1 January 2001 were previously announced on 18 October 2000.

There are no disclosures to make under paragraph 6.F.2(b) to (g) of the UKLA
Listing Rules.

As at 1 January 2001, Mr Tobin has an interest in the ordinary share capital
of Holidaybreak plc (beneficial) as follows:
