Management changes

Holidaybreak, the education, leisure and activity travel group, today announces that the Joint Managing Directors of the Group's Hotel Breaks Division, Nick Cust and Mark Wray are to retire on 31 December 2009. Nick will also be stepping down from the Board of Holidaybreak plc with effect from this date. A search is currently underway for a new Managing Director for Superbreak.

In the Hotel Breaks Division, Superbreak (UK) and Bookit (the Netherlands) provide domestic short-break holidays to their respective markets and West End Theatre Bookings is a London theatre ticket agent. Mark Wray and Nick Cust joined Superbreak in 1984 and 1985 respectively. Together, they have been a major force in the development of the business over almost twenty-five years. Nick joined the Main Board in 1997, having previously served as an Associate Director.

Carl Michel, Group Chief Executive, said:

"Mark and Nick have provided immense service, both to the Holidaybreak Group and to the UK leisure industry over the last quarter of a century and indeed Nick was awarded an OBE in the 2009 New Year's Honours List in recognition of his services to tourism. They can both be justifiably proud of all that they have achieved in that time. They have huge experience and I am delighted that they have agreed to work with us on a consultancy basis following their retirement. We extend our deep and sincere thanks for all their hard work during this time and wish them all the best for the future."
