Holidaybreak plc have today received a notification from Standard Life
Investments of 1 George Street, Edinburgh, EH2 2LL that in terms of Part V of
the Companies Act 1989, Section 134, on 21 June 2002, Standard Life Investments
sold 193,000 shares on behalf of Standard Life Group.  This decreased the total
held as a material interest to 1,789,523 shares being 3.833% of the issued stock
of that class.
