Directorate update


Holidaybreak, the European specialist holiday group, today announced that Steven
Whitfield has been appointed to the plc Board with immediate effect.

Mr. Whitfield was appointed Managing Director of Holidaybreak's Camping Division
on 10 March. He had previously been the Camping Division's Operations Director
since 1998, having originally joined the business in 1984.


Mr Whitfield has not been a director of any other publicly listed company in the
last 5 years and there is no information to be disclosed under paragraph 9.6.13
of the Listing Rules.

Mr Whitfield has also notified the Company in accordance with Disclosure Rule
3.1.2(R) and section 324 of the Companies Act 1985 that he has the following
interests in ordinary 5p shares in Holidaybreak plc:
