                      APPOINTS NEW NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR



Holidaybreak plc ("HBR"), the provider of specialist holidays, is pleased to
announce the appointment of Sally Martin as a non-executive Director of the
Company with immediate effect.



Mrs Martin is currently a Director of Australia Business in Europe (UK).  From
July 1999 to January 2004, she served as a Director of Qantas Holidays plc and
between 2000 and 2003 was a director on the Board of Airlines Representatives
(UK).



Holidaybreak plc confirms that there are no details which require to be
disclosed under paragraphs 6.F.2b) - g) of the UKLA Listing Rules.
