              Holidaybreak Appoints New Non Executive Director

Holidaybreak plc is pleased to announce the appointment of James Wallace as a
non-executive director with effect from 1st May 2002.  Mr Wallace is also
chairman of Bodycote International plc.

Peter Folkman, who has been a non-executive director of Holidaybreak plc since
1997, has resigned.
