HOLIDAYBREAK PLC 2 August 1999 Holidaybreak PLC Appointment of Non-Executive Director Holidaybreak plc is pleased to announce the appointment of Clive McLintock as a Non-Executive Director of the company with effect from 1 August 1999. Clive McLintock, aged 61, was a founder of Barclays Development Capital Ltd and served as a Director from 1979 to 1991. During his time at Barclays, he held Board positions in around 20 companies, including Viking International at the time of its acquisition of Unijet. In 1991 he was appointed Non-Executive Director of the Unijet Group plc, a position he held until First Choice's acquisition of Unijet in 1998. Prior to joining Barclays, he had worked for various businesses in the healthcare and technology sectors. Currently he is Chairman of Forum 21 Ltd, which he co-founded in 1993 to provide innovative business development programmes for business support agencies such as TECs and Business Link. Clive McLintock is taking over from Gordon Harman, Non-Executive Director and former Finance Director of the company who will be standing down from the Board in September 1999. The company would like to acknowledge his diligent service and his invaluable contribution over the years and wish him well.
