Holidaybreak plc announces that on 18 December 2003, Mr J R Crew, a director of
Holidaybreak plc, exercised an option to subscribe for 2,121 ordinary shares in
Holidaybreak plc, at nil cost.  The option was granted to him on 22 December
1997 under the terms of the Long Term Incentive Plan. On 18 December 2003,
following the exercise, Mr Crew sold 2,121 ordinary shares at 521p per share.



Following these transactions, Mr Crew's interest in the Company's shares remains
unchanged at 23,154 ordinary shares and 158,991 options.
